  • Anne Schumacher-Carson

    CHAIRMAN

    Anne has over 40 years of experience in the business sector, including 23 years in banking. Her range of senior and Executive roles whilst at Westpac included Director, Westpac Staff Superannuation Plan (1996-1999) and Trustee of the Buckland Fund/Westpac Foundation (1994-1999). Anne joined the Board in 2016.

  • Rachel Findlay

    DIRECTOR

    Rachel has been working with philanthropists and funders both in Australia and the UK for 15 years. Rachel is the Director of Impact and Engagement, NSW & ACT at Philanthropy Australia. Prior to PA, Rachel was at Australian Philanthropic Services (APS) where she advised clients on all elements of their giving including strategy development, charity analysis and social sector research. Rachel has also worked at Social Ventures Australia (SVA), the Social Impact Hub and headed up New Philanthropy Capital’s (NPC) Funder Effectiveness team in the UK. Rachel is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) having started her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

  • Karen Howard

    DIRECTOR

    Karen Howard, FAICD is an award-winning business entrepreneur with 24 years’ experience establishing, scaling and selling businesses in the professional services sectors. She brings over 22 years’ successful track record as a respected Non-executive Director and Board Chair of member-based organisations, Not-for-Profit enterprises, Federal Government boards and publicly listed companies in Australia. Awarded a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2009, Karen is committed to supporting the work of the Trust helping Australians in need.

  • Robert Minter

    DIRECTOR

    Robert is a solicitor. Prior to setting up his own practice he was a partner of Minter Ellison, Solicitors, a position he held for 30 years. A Trustee since 2000, he continues the Minter family’s dedicated involvement with the Walter & Eliza Hall Charities. His father, also Robert, was a Trustee. He is CEO, First Asia Project Consulting, is a former President of Australia China Business Council and is a Member of the Australia China Council of the Dept of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Robert lectures on topics relating to doing business in China, at various Universities.

  • Irene Rusak

    DIRECTOR

    Irene is an accomplished General legal Counsel and Corporate Governance Expert, and is an experienced Executive Director of Finance and Business Services. Irene has spent 18 years in NSW Rail Transport at an Executive level and is currently a member of Audit and Risk Committees for NSW Health Pathology and Far West Local Health District.
